Man Forgets About Mom's Birthday Because His Wife Went Into Labor, And Mom Is Very Upset
Welcome back to yet another post where we are looking into something that was submitted on Reddit under the AITA thread. This particular thread is really great for those that are looking for an unbiased opinion or advice on their particular situation.
Sometimes it's just better to get an opinion from strangers than ask the people around you that may have some sort of bias. We love looking into these posts because they usually get a lot of attention, and they have tons of comments to look through.
With this being said, today we are going over a post that is posted by a man who is looking for advice on whether or not he's TA for forgetting his mom's birthday and then uninviting her from seeing her grandchild. Ultimately, OP was mad at his mom for reacting negatively when he didn't message her on her birthday because his wife was in labor.
His mother clearly didn't understand the situation with his wife and her going into labor. Either way, we're going to dive into these details and take a look at the comments that people left as well.

OP starts off by explaining him and his wife's situation and how his mother doesn't really care for his wife for some reason.
His wife went into labor and it lasted a long time, but it happened to land on the weekend of his mother's birthday.
Of course they didn't attend the party and they didn't really tell anyone that they were having the baby because his wife was in so much pain.
Obviously he forgot it was his mom's birthday so he didn't text her because he was just dealing with being a support partner to his wife.
He announced the arrival of baby to the family and this is when his mother was so upset that he did not text her or anything.
He said that he did apologize to her and let her know that it wasn't intentional but her responses were not at all acceptable.
He said that everyone said that he is TA but really he doesn't feel like he really did anything wrong.
People were laughing a bit at his mom's ridiculous remarks, because she obviously was just upset.
Truly his mom should have understood but we can't always expect people to understand what why we do certain things.
People told him that he should stop answering the phone calls and texts and just enjoy his new baby,
His mother obviously has some problems and she seems to be having trouble not being the center of attention.
We really don't blame OP for saying that his mom can't see his newborn baby. We don't really understand why she can't understand that they were in labor and that things were just crazy for a few days.
But we hope that things work out for them and they all get on the same page.
